CASE STUDY 1: Branding a Five Star Food Destination
OBJECTIVE
A grocery retailer in the Northeast hired PureRed Creative to help re-brand and launch a "new store" concept to be located in Manhattan. This "new store" concept would become a Five Star Food Destination for wealthy New Yorkers and compete with gourmet brands the likes of Balducci's and Dean & DeLuca. This re-branded store would showcase "the best" gourmet foods from around the world and become a major tourist attraction. PureRed was asked to create a consumer print campaign, with an in-store signage program, that would support the branding initiated by the retailer but take their ideas much farther creatively.

SOLUTION
PureRed Creative designed a very simple but sophisticated print campaign that was used for newspaper ads, magazine ads, store signage and banners. The campaign design was very simple and graphic, showcasing a specialty food from an exotic worldly location with a very "witty-humorous" word twist.

RESULTS
The success of opening day at the retailer's new store was phenomenal! The look of the "new store" concept was beautifully sophisticated. The signage, the store design, European fixtures, the luxury of the food displays was magnificent to behold. And, the day's overall comp sales far exceeded company projections.
